I have an ongoing, persistent and painful condition that has brought me into contact with numerous health professional over the past 3 years, not all of them informative or sympathetic. Dr. Begum is both. In fact, I much prefer her over my own allocated GP. She is very, very capable and she takes the time to explain the illness, the treatment and the medication. She is also very approachable, which instills confidence and relieves anxiety, if you have encountered impatience elsewhere (Dr. Sangha). She is extremely pleasant, polite and caring. She makes you feel very comfortable. If there is any drawback at all, it would only be that it is difficult to obtain an appointment with her because she is so popular. Other than that, she is an exceptionally good GP. (appointment on 3/11/02014)

Dr Begum really listens to what you have to say and is quick to understand the situation. She is full of explanations, suggestions and if the first tablets don't completely sort the problem she insists you come back on a regular basis. She has an extremely reassuring calm manner and above all seems to really know her stuff! Seems to have all the time in the world and ends the appointment with "Is there anything else?" which is nice.

Dr Begum took an issue of mine up with the specialist that I am under and ensured that I was able to expedite my appointment. I was also provided with a prescription to help me during the period. Dr Begum listened and really understood straight away what the issue was and dealt with me very swiftly. Great Doctor!
