Dr Axleby was professional and knowledgeable. She put me at ease when I was very anxious at my assessment. During the tritation period she responded quickly to questions. She explained my choices regarding medication well and gave me information on the different types avaliable to me. I would recommend her as a psychiatrist for ADHD in women as she seems to really understand how women can struggle in daily life.

Dr. Axelby has so far been very helpful in my treatment of ADHD. She expressed a lot of sympathy and understanding during my initial video conference with her, and had clearly read over my information carefully, coming into the call with a good understanding of my condition. I'm transgender, which always makes it a little extra anxiety-inducing to meet with a new healthcare professional, but I was very happy with the way she politely asked for my pronouns and otherwise has treated me professionally and respectfully without prying. I'm very happy with my treatment with her.

Given that I am generally suspicious of psychiatrists this one was OK. She allowed me to access other services which assisted with my mental health problem. She was'nt too judgemental and used her authority sparingly. My only criticism was, like many of her profession, she occasionally stated what could only be opinion as fact.

I experience Dr Axelby as being a kind and thoughtful psychiatrist. She has good time keeping and communicates with other professionals within the timeframes that are appropriate to my psychiatric needs. I believe she takes into consideration all the relevant factors that contribute to my mental health vulnerabilities and remains strengths focus. I think she also challenges my narratives to help me think about a situation differently. I don't always agree with her formulation but we can tolerate different perspectives. She has advocated for me to have the best support during a difficult time and in doing so has given me permission to also take my mental health needs seriously. She has given support to my family to enable them to understand the situation as well as give hope in crisis. As a family we are grateful for her skills as a psychiatrist to recommend the right medication and appreciate the manner in which she practices her profession.
