Dr Sankar is very approachable, calm, respectful and honest. Dr Sankar is one of the best psychiatrists I have had the pleasure of being under. Dr Sankar will always go out of his way to ensure you are listened to and that he fully understands what you are trying to say. Dr Sankar does not focus on the past and all the negatives instead he thrives of these and helps patients to maximise their potential and prepare them for discharge either to a step-down unit or back home under their community CAMHS. Dr Sankar takes every little detail and creates the bigger picture enabling patient centred care and is passionate about treating mental health conditions. Dr Sankar does not rush to put you on medication, however, he will ask the opinions of the patient, family, the MDT and come up with a joint decision.

I feel my daughter was listened to and I, as a family member, was listened to. My daughter, Jessica was able to discuss things freely with the doctors and staff. I have seen an improvement already in her opening up about her feelings after nearly 2 weeks.
