One of the few medical professionals encountered in the past 5 years or so who is engaging, down to earth, friendly, passionate and takes the time to thoroughly explain information in a way that is easily digestible and absorbable.
As an autistic patient, this is a Godsend and I was immediately put at ease by his welcoming manner and chatty disposition during our recent appointment at the Royal Berkshire Hospital - Reading.
Such a refreshing change from the robotic, lacking in personality and bedside manner consultants that I have now sadly become accustomed to in the NHS. Bedside manner seems to have all but disappeared in the medical profession and this has caused distress and distrust when accessing hospital appointments; however, Dr Goolamali has helped rebuild some of that distrust in me and has made me see that there are medical professionals out there after all who are capable of doing the two jobs they need to do.
1. Treat the patient clinically
2. Make the patient feel at ease and supported throughout a distressing time. (Bedside manner)
Dr Goolamali has listened to my concerns, taken my concerns seriously and provided all the support and attentive care I need for me as both an autistic patient with specific needs and as a patient who is extremely anxious about medical affairs.
He has offered me options not afforded to me by previous clinicians seen in some larger NHS Trusts in the north of England and I am very grateful indeed for this help and his willingness to go the extra mile.
Dr Goolamali is a credit to the NHS and to the medical fraternity.
Dr Goolamali was very polite and re-assuring. He explained his findings and next steps clearly and patiently. Highly recommend his services.
Dr Goolamali is a fantastic consultant, I found him to be reassuring and professional, he went above and beyond in his role, taking the time to explain to me in great detail my procedure and results. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Goolamali.
Found Doctor Goolamali to have a caring reassuring manner, explaining clearly and fully the treatment needed. I also found his secretary Jenni a helpful link to Doctor Goolamali. I felt very well looked after.
Amazing doctor. Very friendly. Listens really well and explains perfectly. Nothing is too much trouble.
