I saw Dr Hussain at the Nuffield Hospital in Leeds, it was a very positive experience. My initial consultation was by phone and options were discussed about how to treat a mole on my arm that clearly needed further investigations. I found Dr Hussain to be informative, professional, very calming and reassuring. It was decided that the removal of the mole was the best way forward and Dr Hussain went over and above his remit to re-arrange his schedule to see me two days later. At the point of surgery, a full and detailed explanation of the procedure was given, and the removal of the lesion was painless. I have a very neat little scar that has healed well. Throughout the procedure Dr Hussain made every effort to make me feel comfortable, he has a very charming and calming demeanor backed up with a caring approach. It was interesting to note that the calm and polite approach was extended to the staff with whom he worked. The nurse who assisted with the surgery was clearly very comfortable with Dr Hussain and they worked well as a team. I felt at all times that I was in the hands of a skilled and accomplished doctor. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Hussain should you find yourself in need of a dermatologist.

Dr.Hussain instilled me with great confidence in his ability through his detailed description of Mohs mircrosurgery and the procedures involved. He and his team were extremely competent, reassuring and understanding during the procedure itself and the follow-ups. It was apparent that the team worked together with trust and mutual respect.

2020, pandemic and lockdown. Surprisingly, given the prevailing situation, I receive an appointment for a biopsy, which confirms a basal cell carcinoma on my nose. I attend an appointment with the multidisciplinary team where my treatment options are clearly and thoroughly explained. I opt for Mohs micrographic surgery. The big day, Dr Hussain removes the bottom left corner of my nose (left alar), analysis shows that the cancer has been removed and the first stage of reconstruction is carried out. Many return visits follow for changing of dressing and monitoring. During these dark days of the pandemic, the appointments begin to feel more like visits to friends rather than attending hospital, thanks to the warmth and welcome from all the team at the Dermatology Department (C4). Just over three weeks later Dr Hussain performs the second surgery to complete reconstruction. As I write this six months later, the end result is so good I’m sure nobody would ever guess that I’d had part of my nose removed, exceptional skill, outstanding care. Many thanks to all at the Dermatology Unit (C4)!

Very quick identification of issue and fantastic treatment schedule. Follow up gave me the information I needed to understand the issues and how to manage going forward. Excellent.

I had the best Diamond Wedding Present anyone could have. Instead of receiving a gift I had a BCC on my eyelid removed . There's no better gift than that especially when it is performed with such a skilful, competent surgeon like Dr Hussain. I can't thank him and his wonderful team enough for their caring and friendly manner putting me at ease. I didn't think my eyelid could possibly function as normal after what it had gone through. Working well and hardly a scar to be seen. The procedure from my 1st visit to my last in my opinion cannot be improved upon. THANK YOU Dr Hussain and all his " Little Helpers" Pat Clark
