After taking my 89. Year old mother to see Dr. Crook. I was disgusted with the British health care system. No knowing the appointment time was only fifteen minutes per patient. This is not enough time for most chronic care patients. To go over any concerns and have a treatment plan. By the time my mother shuffled her way down the hall to the furthest treatment room in the corridor, and we went over her medication, before we finished that we where told our time was up. How sad is it that patients in the U.K. Get treated as if they are numbers only, push them in and push them out. These are the people this countries back bone was made of. Give them more respect and dignity. Instead of asking them to leave because you deem there health is not worthy of that an extra couple of minutes. I realize people are waiting in the waiting room for the next appointment. But treat people as individuals. I am not sure if I am more mad at this Doctor for her lack of compassion, or the system that she has to work within. People do not always communicate well, get right to the point as I did with medication. But they are still HUMAN BEINGS and DESERVE TO BE TREATED AS SUCH. JOYCE POLLARD denview30@hotmail.ca
