I have only one word for this doctor and that is "superb". I'd had some blood tests done and a chest x-ray and was asked to be seen by Dr Crook. She explained that there some worrying features on the x-ray and I needed further investigation. Obviously my first thoughts were cancer. She told me that while cancer couldn't be ruled out there was a chance it could be a connective tissue disease. Her ability to speak to me in layman's terms and her patience with me asking many, probably stupid, questions gave me lots of confidence in her as a doctor. After a month of further testing I was diagnosed with sarcardosis and not cancer. Dr Crook once again took the time to explain what this was and made sure I received the necessary follow up. I am so grateful that I had such a wonderful doctor throughout such a worrying journey that I felt compelled to share it. The NHS would definitely benefit from more doctors just like Dr Crook.
