I moved house on Friday... out of the catchment area of Bewick Road Surgery. It is a huge disappointment that I can't stay with Dr Bonnington after years of faithful service I need to transfer to a different G.P. Practice. Dr Bonnington has ALWAYS been interested/dedicated/totally invested in her patients of whom I was one. Appointments can run late but the reason is because she is so committed to prioritising the individual who is with her. I have been in the waiting room when others have been waiting and have heard them saying they don't mind waiting a bit longer because they know they will get full attention when she sees them. I am very sad to no longer be able to have her as my G.P. Thank you so much for being an excellent example of a dedicated doctor. I don't think Dr Bonnington's service can be improved.... other than cloning her!

I had the thorough pleasure of working for Dr Bonnington for 3 weeks and can honestly say she is one of the most genuine, thoughful, pleasant, hard-working doctors I have ever met. She always gives patients the time they need, goes on considerable numbers of home visit for even day-to-day problems when they fit in around her surgeries and she always goes that extra mile; she'll phone the consultant to chase up a result while the patient waits in the room rather than making the patient wait for the letter, phone up patients to see how they are after being discharged from hospital and is just plain lovely. Definately a recommended Doctor.
