6 weeks ago I had an L4/5 lumbar decompression and discectomy, which was a complete success and removed all traces of Sciatica which had plagued me for about two years. However I am still experiencing great pain in my right hip, down to my knee, which is not alleviated by 8 Tramadol 6 Iboprufen and Paracetamol taken daily; and have been waiting for a replacement hip was for some considerable time. When asked, I explained to Mr Bhatia that I was still on the waiting list. He told me he would write to the surgeon that day to ask that I be seen as soon as possible. Now it may be coincidence but today, I had a call from the surgeons secretary offering me the 23rd September as a date for my hip replacement. Whether Mr Bhatia had anything to do with this I honestly don't know. All I know is although Mr Bhatia is an extremely busy man, it was an absolute pleasure to engage with someone who listened, treated me with kindness, and inspired the utmost confidences, in his approach and suggestions for my future well being. Needless to say should the need arise, I would pray that Mr Bhatia will again be my surgeon. .
