Spoke about irrelevant topics - spent over half of our second session speaking about Covid even though I made no attempt to show interest he still carried on. Wasn't interested in my opinions - he diagnosed me and told me a common characteristic of someone with my diagnosis is a lack of empathy which I said I didn't have and he went on to explain the word although I understood it clearly anyway, incredibly patronising.
Admin was appalling, never got an email back from him or his secretary after he diagnosed me and Covid broke out and I was furloughed stuck at home - still no interest or care shown for the patient even after multiple phone calls & emails. What an abysmal introduction to psychiatry that was for me. Don't let this man put you off continuing your journey elsewhere, not all of them will be like Dr Schapira.
