I was a patient of Dr Allcock for several years after being under a different consultant for a couple of years before. The previous consultant did little or nothing to get to the root cause of my persistent chest infections till it got to the point I demanded a second opinion. A few weeks later I had the good fortune of being transferred under the care of Dr Allcock. He is a very good listener and is genuinely interested in what you say. He diagnosed me and prescribed treatment which has completely changed my life, I can now go walking and go about my day to day business without being constantly breathless, Dr Allcock gave me my life back. I’m so disappointed to learn that he will no longer be my consultant at the Queen Elizabeth. Thank you Dr Allcock I owe you so much, good luck in your new role.

I saw Dr Robert Allcock with my mum and am writing this on her behalf. Mum had a persistent cough for months and Dr Allcock worked out it was her blood pressure tablets that was making it worse. He altered the tablet and asked to see mum in three months time. When we returned to see him, the cough had gone but mum had had other medical problems (not related to her chest) and Dr Allcock took the time to listen to her concerns and advise on a course of treatment. He never hurried her or talked down to her and was patient and kind throughout. I would highly recommend Dr Allcock.

Dr Allcock is friendly and easy to talk to. He listens to my concerns and is extremely reassuring at all times. After quite a few years under his care I have every confidence in him and recommend him unreservedly.
