Having been re-assigned to his list, I consulted him when suffering from flu and a chest infection. It was obvious that he had read my medical notes as he also discussed my other ailments. He prescribed antibiotics and steroids to treat the chest infection. He asked me to re-visit at the end of treatment or if there were any problems. On my second visit we discussed in detail my COPD and Arthritic knee. He prescribed a more potent inhaler to assist breathing. I mentioned a device to assist breathing I had seen advertised and asked his opinion. He investigated on line and said the device had good indications. Decided it was worth a try as it could do no harm. He was not happy with the long term use of anti inflamitory medication (Naproxen) and advised me to stop , relying on exercise and paracetamol for the knee. Advised a further visit in a month to monitor progress. I was impressed with his thoroughness and manner and understanding of my conditions
