Exceptional consultant. Had great empathy and compassion to my 20 year old daughters condition. He explained in easy understandable terminology. Used diagrams and made sure that we understood. He took time to understand the history of events. He was re-assuring and supportive. Would not hesitate to see him again if the need arises. He provided a first class service. My consultation with Dr Sargur was very helpful and informative. He properly explained the possible causes of my condition and was very knowledgeable. I felt like I finally had some answers and a plan to get better. My GP had originally dismissed me but Dr Sargur took the time to understand my condition and I will now finally get a referral to ENT. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Sargur.
He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable, very understanding and patient.
I have been struggling to find someone who could help me for the last 10 years and understand the impact my symptoms had on my daily life. Dr Sargur was my last avenue of support.
He took the time to look at my detailed history and ask specific questions to help inform his diagnosis. I did not have to explain or justify my symptoms, he just got it. He was very honest and acknowledged that there was still a lot of research going on and he did not have all of the answers. He did, however, give a full rationale of why he had excluded diagnoses and gave me hope and a plan of action which should improve my very restricted diet. I feel very comfortable with his approach and positive that it will allow me to expand my diet, which in turn will enable me to enjoy life much more with my family and friends.

Dr Ravishankar Sargur is a Consultant Immunologist at the Northern General Hospital.
He set up the Aspirin nasal challenge and desensitisation service in Northern General hospital.
His interests include specialist allergy testing, investigating hidden allergens and problems with the immune system (antibody deficiency, autoimmunity etc.
He has keen interest in training and was previously Training Program Director for Immunology in Yorkshire, Humber and East Midlands.
He was chair of the Speciality Advisory Committee (Immunology) at Joint Royal College of Physicians Training Board.
Dr. Sargur has a major interest in allergy education and regularly gives lectures and tutorials to GPs, developed allergy & immunology modules for medical students.
