I keeps bees as a hobby and suffered multiple stings recently requiring a referral to Dr Sargur for further assessment. I saw him privately as NHS waiting times are currently long. From the outset I found his manner reassuring and professional. He took a detailed history from me and explained his management plan clearly. Blood tests were reported and he took the trouble to communicate with me by email to answer the questions that I had. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The doctor really took his time to listen to me and to explain everything related to my condition. Best medical treatment in years.

Dr Sargur was very thorough taking me through all types of allergy and immunity issues and explaining where I fitted in. It was very insightful and I really appreciated his time.

I saw Dr Sargur at the Thornbury hospital after months of struggling with, what I was told to be, "allergies". The problem of increasing angiodema over time culminated in a 999 call and A+E admission with a poorly treated urinary tract infection. Appropriate antibiotics resolved the problem. However, I was then advised to continue to take high doses of antihistamines and steroids, both of which had considerable side effects. I have had mild occasional symptoms of allergy since childhood, and realised that none of those symptoms bared any similarity to those that I was experiencing. More alarmingly, none of the standard treatments for allergies was working for me. Angiodema is a very scary situation for anyone to be in, and I certainly would not wish for anyone else to go through a similar experience to mine. The impact upon my life has been huge; I stopped walking outdoors, restricted my diet and cancelled a long-awaited, and very special, holiday in the fear that I would suffer anaphylaxis. Enter Dr Sargur. He is absolutely brilliant. He listened very carefully to my history and give me time to tell my story. He took time to tell me that my symptoms of angiodema were due to infection, not allergies. He encouraged me to eat normally again and to enjoy the outdoors-which I love. I now have the confidence to book another holiday. Thank you for your invaluable help and advice, Dr Sargur-you truly are one in a million.
