We travelled from Leeds to Manchester to meet with Dr Nawaz at Pall Mall Medical, as we had a number of concern about our son's behaviour, suspecting from what we had read that there was an element of ADHD. Dr Nawaz explained all of our options to us in detail and spoke to our son about what he was doing and answered questions that he asked in a calm patient manner. Follow up appointments were the same and we had a telephone discussion with him to explain our treatment options. All of the communications with Dr Nawaz were friendly and he couldn't have been more helpful. He explained everything to us and our son in terms that we could all understand and put everyone at ease throughout the whole experience. We will still be under Dr Nawaz's treatment for a short time whilst the medication is reviewed but have no worries that we are in the best possible hands.

I contacted Dr Nawaz to request an assessment for my son. He was the first person who came to my mind because I had respect for him from previous knowledge of good work he has done in developing ADHD pathways as well as from his being the ADHD Lead for Paediatrics in his NHS work. (I worked in an allied department myself). He responded promptly and patiently to all my queries and reviewed information I sent him. I knew Dr Nawaz had my son's interest at heart. It is a hard decision for me about whether to medicate my son and again, he has been most patient and understanding in responding to all my questions and giving me time to think by cancelling a pre booked appointment. Thank you, Dr Nawaz for all your help and support.

I made an appointment at Pall Mall Medical for my son due to concerns about his development, speech and some of his behaviour. We travelled up from Leeds to Manchester to see Dr Nawaz as he specializes in areas that were closest to our concerns. He didn't have any details of the referral which meant that he had to go through all our concerns and my son's medical history there and then. He was unbelievably thorough making pages and pages of notes all the while asking relevant questions to clarify things that I might not have covered. My little one is rather lively, but Dr Nawaz was prepared and got a tablet out with various cartoons to keep my son occupied and he was very patient when my son would not sit still despite his best efforts. Even though our concerns were not strictly medical, he examined my son to exclude any potential issues. After having listened to my concerns and having observed and examined my son, he gave me his opinion and advice as to what to do next. He also asked me to fill in a form and email it back to him to get even more information about my son before he would write his report. Once he received the email, Dr Nawaz sent me numerous links and documents to give us better understanding of the background of my son's symptoms. Dr Nawaz spent an hour and a half with us even though the normal appointment time would be 45-60 mins. I feel very lucky to have found such a fantastic paediatrician who genuinely cares of the well-being of his patients.

Dr Nawaz has been the consultant to my two children who have special needs for the last 4 years, we have always found him extremely helpful, supportive and very forward thinking. He goes the extra mile for us as parents with information and attending meetings at school. He is very sensitive to the needs of our children and goes above and beyond for them.

Dr Nawaz has been our child's community paediatrician for a number of years now. He has been a constant source of support to us and our son, even attending school meetings with us whenever he can! He is a lovely, kind and very professional doctor with a wonderful calm and assuring 'bedside manner'. He always speaks to our child first in consultations and asks him how he is etc, then makes sure he is occupied whilst we adults chat. We feel very lucky and reassured to have Dr Nawaz as our child's healthcare professional, he is a credit to Trafford's Child health team.
