I am a Paediatric Consultant at Northwick Park and Ealing hospital. I qualified in India in 1998 after which he did his MD in paediatrics from Rajasthan University, which is a 3 year degree course. I worked for a year in India as a senior registrar before coming to UK in 2001. I have trained in the UK for 10 years in paediatrics & neonates at various major UK hospitals like Great Ormond Street, St. Thomas’, St. George’s, St Mary’s. That has given me a vast experience of dealing with various common conditions seen in children. I am fully registered with the GMC and has a special interest in newborns and infants I work at Ealing Hospital as a consultant in paediatrics since 2012, after achieving my certificate of completion of training. I have practising privileges at Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow and Syon Clinic in Brentford. I offer consultations for common problems like headache, abdominal pain, excessive vomiting, excessive crying, odd shaped heads, tongue tie, poor weight gain, constipation, neonatal jaundice, allergies etc. If you are using health insurance, it is also usually wise to contact your insurance company to authorise the consultation. If you are paying for the consultation yourself, you can just ring the appointments line to make an appointment.
Very positive experience, always available and helped us solve the problem our daughter had while also taking good time to answer all our questions. Hopefully we will never be in urgency of a paediatrician again, but if need be we will be looking for Dr Mathur.
My son first saw Ramnik Mathur with gastro issues when he was about 4 months old. We had seen another consultant and were unhappy with the care she provided. Our first appointment with Dr Mathur was a turning point. My son was under his care for another year or so. I left every appointment feeling reassured. When my son was 3, he had his first epileptic seizure. I bumped into Dr Mathur on his morning rounds the next day, and he took over the case. It was wonderful to know that we had a doctor who genuinely cared about patients and their families. He's a pleasure to deal with. He doesn't condescend parents, but also calms us down when we are panicking. He knows how to put kids at ease. He is willing to go the extra mile. I have nothing but good to say about him.
My four year old has had recurring swollen lymph nodes. Dr. Mathur was fantastic with him and with me. He listened and asked questions and then did a thorough check and explained to me what he was doing. He took blood and was excellent with my son, talking to him directly. At the end he came back when he saw my son a bit weepy waiting for the ultrasound and brought him a box of chocolates! No more tears! He followed up with me on the phone two days later with the results. I was very impressed with his professionalism and care and will definitely bring my son to him again without hesitation.
He take the time to listen to his patients, being sure not to missed the most important information, which applies to them. He also quick and sufficent in his advise and his approach. One thing that satnds out he's a;ways smiling even if the day os stressful. And i believe that good for patients to meet an approachable doctor, who actually care's for them.
