Dr Shah came highly recommended to me and I have certainly not been disappointed with the care and treatment that I have received over a period of many months. Dr Shah is always considered in his approach, allows you to ask the questions that you might have and provides clear explanations together with valuable reassurance. I am very happy to recommend this expereinced and professional consultant to others.

I've been cared for by Dr.Shah for the best part of 15 years, I've been a guest of the NHS for the last 25+ years. Dr.Shah embodies how a professional clinician can deliver care. Empathetic, warm and kind, Dr.Shah has always made me feel listened to and that he has time for my concerns. I've always felt trust and confidence in his advice and a willingness to listen to my view as the patient, allowing that to be folded into decision making and care planning. The only way Dr.Shah could improve the care given is through the tools he is provided with which to execute his role (at Broomfield Hospital, this may differ in other settings). Modern digital systems are needed to allow clinicians to manage patients, care pathways and keep lines of communication open.

When a 'specialist tradesman', say, in one's mind is one of the best in that trade and you trust, is carrying out complicated work for you it may be difficult for that customer to understand the details about his work and it is a grave concern to the client. Thats me in this case, especially when it is inside your body! However Dr Shah puts the customer, 'patient' first . Talking with a calm reassuring manner and understanding your concerns. This can not be easy for any doctor to focus on just the patient infront of him or her as there are so many of us and just one of them. Dr Shah does. He shows care, consideration, politeness , humility, kindness and obvious professionalism. He was there to talk to me well before and on the day of the procedure. He treats you as an important person. My procedure was carried out so well. To be excellent in my view, in what you do or trying to be as best as you possibly can, you need a good team round you which he has, including his receptionist who is the first person you talk to at the beginning of treatment . Ten out of ten gold stars. Nearly forgot. Thank you Dr Shah and all that surround him in hospital

I am a 45 year old guy that has been fortunate enough (until now) to have little to nothing going wrong with me. Last October I started noticing blood in my stools and extreme bowel movements. Being quite frightened and fearing the worst I was fortunate enough to be sent off to see Dr Shah who was calm, professional and immediately eased my anxiety and treated me with dignity in a light hearted way. I can't thank him enough for always being around to answer any questions I have with my ongoing Colitis condition that he has successfully got under control for me. Its a pleasure dealing with him which is a first for me to be able to say that about going to see a Doctor!
