I was in hospital with my 19 month old boy who had a severe chest infection, this was discovered following a chest x-ray. The care from doctors was very good in terms of diagnosis and medication given which is working well so far. A full explanation of what happened and how this affected other areas was given DR Walia in particular listened to our queries and answered all our questions and concerns and also offered to see us in a follow up appointment. However I do feel when a doctors was required during the night shift, I was waiting hours before one came and it was frustrating seeng my baby suffer in the meantime. This happened on the first night when my boy was supposed to have antibiotics through an tube and about 2 days later when the tube needed changing, it also fell on early hours. It just meant more sleepless nights as I was constantly following up when the doc would arrive.

Dr. Walia has been my supervisor during my work at Walsall manor hospital. He has been extremely supportive as a supervisor and takes time to listen to your concerns. He is always willing to support and encourage trainees to participate in activites including teachings within the department. He provides appropriate feedback to trainees to help them enhance their skills and progress in their career. He manages most of the educational sessions within the department and has a very organised approach to it. As a consultant to the patients he is extremely caring and will spend time listening to their concerns. He is empathetic towards patients and gives clear messages to parents/patients. His professional relations with the whole team including nurses is great.

Dr Walia has looked after my Son for the past 5 years. Throughout that time he was excellent - we always felt he had our Child's best interests at heart and actually listened and acted upon any concerns we had. We felt totally safe and reassured with his competent professional but always friendly and open manner. Our Son liked him very much and I have nothing but praise for him.
