We were desperately looking for a private paediatric consultant for our then 2 week old baby who simply couldn't sleep due to really bad reflux and regurgitation. Upon researching online, Dr. Rao's profile came up. This was two years ago- since then we have been consulting with him on various issues- for both our 9 year old, and the now 2-year old. Dr. Rao has been incredibly accommodating- where he hasn't been able to meet for a face-to-face consultation, he has accommodated via Zoom/phone calls which is so important for us as anxious, and often desperate parents. Dr. Rao not only treats symptoms for his patients, but also addresses parental anxieties, and draws references from his own experiences as a parents- which has been so important for us as parents. His patience, medical knowledge, and experience, in my humble opinion is second to none! Above all, we have found him to be a remarkable human being, and this is no exaggeration!

We saw Dr Rao first as a private patient and then on the NHS. He was kind and caring and knows his stuff very well. What we thought was Crohns was faecal impaction which he has guided us and is guiding us through treating. His manner with both adults and children, both privately and on the NHS is reassuring, caring and is happy to explain things to us. Definately recommend. We travel from Mamchester to see him.

My 10 year old daughter had a consultation and subsequent procedure with Dr Rao and we were both really impressed with him from the minute that we first met. He was very caring and understanding, explaining things in very simple terms and reassuring her along every step of the way. He relates and connects with children so well, he really is so suited to his role! As a parent he listened to all of my concerns, addressed all my questions and did absolutely everything to make the whole procedure stress free for us both. Myself and my daughter recommend Dr Rao without hesitation, he really is brilliant at what he does and you can be reassured that you will be truly listened to and well looked after whilst under his care.

My daughter saw Dr Rao for support with severe constipation. He was excellent at relating to her during the appointments and making her feel comfortable. He explained thoroughly her diagnosis and designed a very comprehensive and clear treatment plan. We followed the treatment plan and my daughter has made amazing progress in 8 weeks. We now understand how to support her going forward and we have seen her become more confident. We cannot thank Dr Rao enough and would not hesitate to recommend him.

If you are considering an appointment with Dr Rao, do not hesitate. He is extremely professional, empathic and kind to not only the patient but family too. He saw our daughter for ongoing medical issues, his manner was calm and reassuring. His ability to alter his tone, language and communication to engage our (reluctant) teenager was fantastic. He involved her in the conversation from the first minute, putting her and us at ease. He listened and was thorough, leaving no stone unturned. We left feeling it was the best money we have spent, giving us the reassurance we needed. I cannot recommend him enough.
