Dr Prajakta Patil is a Consultant Psychiatrist who offers private consultations and treatment remotely and in person for adults above 18 years of age. Apart from English, Dr Patil can offer consultations in Hindi and Marathi. She can communicate in Urdu reasonably well. In addition to her medical degrees, she also has a Diploma in Mental Health Law and postgraduate certification in Child Law. She sees individuals for neurodevelopmental assessments and other mental health conditions. These include: Adult ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Psychosis and Phobias. Alongside her clinical role, she works as a Clinical Lecturer and lead for Quality Improvement Projects for medical students. She has published research in peer reviewed journals and presented in National and International conferences. She is also a peer reviewer at the NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research). She is active at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, having multiple roles, as Deputy Regional Advisor of the South East Division and ex-editor of the Neurodevelopmental Special Interest Group at the Royal College. She regularly examines postgraduate medical trainees for their final Royal College Membership exams. She is also a recognised evaluator by the General Medical Council for non-training doctors applications to the Specialist Register as a Consultant. She was previously the lead for assessing NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) guideline implementation and analysing gaps in practice in specialist services in her NHS Trust.
