Two and a half years ago I went to the doctor with digestive problems. He did not even examine me, but just said not to eat what you find upsets your tummy. After two or three visits, with a similar response from the doctor and the symptoms becoming worse, I had to beg him to refer me to the local hospital. The gastro-enterology consultant there examined my abdomen, detected a swelling and immediately ordered a CT scan, which revealed a 20 cm long tumour near my left kidney. I was referred to the relevant specialist team at Churchill Hospital, Oxford where I was operated on within a fortnight. I am not at all happy that this was not picked up and dealt with sooner by Dr Kusre. He needs to examine his patients properly and consider all possible diagnoses.
