This doctor is exceptional. His knowledge of kidney disease is supplemented with a much wider medical background - I have never asked him about anything he couldn't explain. His concern for patients is also exceptional, following progress (or lack of it) carefully, even during periods of hospitalisation. I have the utmost faith in Dr Mason's guidance and care of me, and my family feels the same.

I am an out patient with Dr Mason and have been seen by him for a short period one or two times a year for the past 20 years. The appointments are fairly routine but he is always happy to answer my questions and concerns and does so satisfactorily. He strikes me as a very knowledgeable and competent doctor and I like him as well as respect and trust him.

Dr Phil Mason has been great throught my diagnosis and treatment. My blood and other test results are thoroughly considered, I have been given control of my treatment and my views are taken into account when considering alternatives. I have been able to get in touch with Dr Mason by email (as I find this more convenient) and have always had a prompt response to any concerns. Discrepancies in my bloods are picked up straight away and are followed up by a call by Dr Mason with a suggested change of medication. I have always felt well looked after and treated as an individual. Dr Mason and his team of specialists have made dealing with my diagnosis, condition and treatment a lot easier making sure help was always at hand when required. Their way of adapting their working to suit me (emails, phone and early morning appointments and suggestions of self treatment) allowed me to remain independent and continue with my demanding profession. The fact that my work colleagues were oblivious to my quite major medical condition (until I revealed the information to them) is testament to how great the team have been. I trust Dr Masons judgement and appointments with Dr Mason are always the right amount of reality with a big pinch of positivism. I really do receive a first class service without the associated cost of private treatment - the type of service/treatment which would be well worth paying for.
