I qualified from Manchester Medical School in 2004 and completed junior doctor training in and around Manchester. I subsequently undertook my specialist dermatology training in Salford Royal Hospital, Manchester. During this time I undertook a fellowship in Medical Education, which included a Diploma in Medical Education. Following this I moved to Toronto, Canada, to gain additional training as a fellow in Advanced Medical Dermatology. Following this I returned to the UK where I have been working as a consultant since 2014 in Leeds. Within this role I undertake a weekly complex medical dermatology clinic (including connective tissue diseases), skin cancer clinic and psoriasis clinic. In addition I am the dermatology lead for cutaneous lymphoma. I have a diverse research interest in inflammatory skin diseases and have a number of active clinical research activities on going at present. I am also a keen medical educator and oversee undergraduate dermatology training for the University of Leeds.
