I have been a patient of Dr Kelly’s since discovering I had Hashimotos Hypothyroidism during IVF treatment in November 2023. My initial consultation was in person and subsequently online for my convenience. Dr Kelly listens, is patient, allows me to ask questions around things I’ve found on the internet to discuss their credibility in relation to my condition and given the critical timing of IVF stages I feel he has made himself available for appointments specially to ensure we are checking my thyroid as the right times even if this has required a last minute change on my part. My thyroid levels took an unexpected turn (thyrotixic) after being stable for several months which would have resulted in my IVF treatment I was undergoing that month to be cancelled. Dr Kelly was able recover my levels in the space of 10 days so my embryo transfer could go ahead with the thyroid levels needed for a successful pregnancy. Dr Kelly is always happy to discuss my treatment with my IVF clinic if needed. I am so grateful to have found Dr Kelly and recommended him to anyone undergoing fertility treatment.

I had a terrible experience during a consultation with Dr Kelly. He did not offer me any specialist advice and instead ignored my medical history, belittled my experience and gave advice which my GP has since said is incorrect. I was offered expensive generic options to try (that you can find on a Google) but told they were unlikely to help me. When I was not interested in investing £300+ in these I was told there is not much he can do and told to read a book on an unrelated condition instead. My GP has given me more specialist advice than Dr Kelly and I would strongly advise you not to waste your money. My appointment was also nearly an hour late which the receptionist said is a very common occurrence. I really regret booking with Dr Kelly. It has been a step backwards in trying to find a solution to my condition. I have since tried to contact the office and been ignored.

Dr. Kelly is godsent. Finding him shortly after relocating to the UK was exactly what I needed at the right time to help me work towards getting healthy after my diagnosis. He is kind, professional, attentive, empathetic, friendly and his bedside manner is impeccable. He answered all my questions and i never felt afraid or shy to ask questions or seek clarification on any issue. He was responsive at all times even on text messages and email and gave me confidence. I was reassured and went through treatment without any fear and with a firm belief that I would recover fully. To say he is an excellent doctor is an understatement and for me, he has set a high standard for what a good doctor is and I hope future medical providers will be half as good as him. I am grateful to have met Dr. Kelly and worked with him towards getting healthy. Akosua.

My mother had multiple symptoms post a stroke, thankfully successful thrombolysis occurred. She has type 2 diabetes, hypertension and recently diagnosed with persistent AFIB. She is seeing a cardiologist and has been seen by a urologist, gastroenterologist and a stroke specialist. With urinary, GI issues and low energy levels we were looking for a consultant who would be able to look at mother holistically. The urologist suggested that mother could benefit from seeing an endocrinologist. It is perhaps the first time I have truly appreciated how diabetes, cardiovascular, urology health and general well being is so connected. And indeed it's relation to stroke risk. This is where Dr Kelly is particularly suited. His endocrinology specialism and general medicine credentials means there is someone to offer my mother overall expert care and direction and keep a close specialist eye on her diabetes and interrelated diseases. He has already prescribed something for bladder control and tweaking medication to ascertain impact on energy levels and keeping an eye on HBA1C levels in a couple of months. I think certainly worthwhile for those patients at risk, but otherwise well, to invest in a consultation to mitigate those risks that can come about from diabetes, and to supplement those far too quick local GP consultations that have understandably become a reality of modern public health services. I recommend him wholeheartedly and wish all his patients good health.
