My daugher aged 16 has recently been diagnosed with CFS. We were referred to Dr Hammond and the appointment was offered very quickly. Our appointment was for about one and a half hours. During the time Dr Hammond was excellent at explaining the treatment for CFS and spent a great deal of time making sure we understood everything he was telling us. As GCSE's are looming Dr Hammond suggested that my daughter drop one or two subjects to relieve some of the pressure and will write to her school to explain to them how important it is for her to drop subjects and how they can support her in other ways. We felt that Dr Hammond listened to everything we told him, particularly around family issues which were contributing to my daughters stress levels. On the whole we felt very confident that Dr Hammond will offer a great service of care.

Dr Hammond is the only medical professional that we have spoken to who has explained why my daughter has ME and how she can manage her illness more effectively. My daughter did not want to attend her appointment as she has been to so many appointments in the past which have not had a positive outcome. Dr Hammond put my daughter immediately at ease and she trusted him completely. We are both convinced that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I would recommend Dr Hammond to the parents of any child who has ME/CFS.

It was amazing to finally be listened to and treated like any other ill patient and have the recognition that fatigue syndromes are a real problem and not psychological. Dr. Hammond explained excellently how to manage and control my energy to be able to get on top of CFS and hopefully recover to the best of my ability. He also gave great support for my family and I, by encouraging us and praising us for what we have achieved so far. I would advise anyone suffering with symptoms of CFS strongly to visit Dr. Hammond to get the answers you need and deserve.

Dr Hammond explained things to us in a way we can understand, not blinding us with medical jargon like most doctors do, Great doctor !

Dr Hammond listened to my granddaughter , reviewed her questionnaires and offed his advice . He was very funny and the whole consultation was very relaxed and informative. Lois gained a lot from the visit and Dr Hammond is going to write to her school with advice on how she should should continue
