I was referred to Dr Boon Lim and received a diagnosis of POTS. He explained the diagnosis thoroughly and came up with a treatment plan and lifestyle changes that would be beneficial to my severe symptoms. Although it is still a long journey to full health, I have made a huge improvement to my physical well being and symptoms.

Dr. Boon Lim is an outstanding consultant cardiologist. He diagnosed that I required a duel chamber pacemaker back in July, and has just discharged me, after I told him the procedure has given me a new lease of life. I thanked him for his attentiveness, politeness and care.

Dr Boon Lim is a very caring,patient and understanding doctor.In my opinion he is the best in the cardiology field,he knows what he is doing and is always patient and understanding,and also listens to your opinion too.I would recommend Dr Boon Lim to my family and friends as he has so many good qualities as a doctor.As I trust him 100% it made my hospital appointments and treatments an easier experience,knowing that I had him as a doctor.

I have seen several consultants since my heart bypass in May, but none has filled me with such hope with his positive manner and great explations.Also, he was keen to hear how I had been feeling and when I explained my symptoms, came to a diagnosis, which I wholeheartedly agree with. He was able to do that because he actually listened to me, rather than dismiss my symptoms as simply to be expected after a major operation, which has previously happened. I left feeling uplifted, empowered and positive and am looking forward to being treated under his care.

Dr. Lim performed two ablations on me, one for a flutter and the second for AF. Both procedures were successful. I am very happy that since my last ablation one year ago, I am free of symptoms. Dr. Lim is an excellent doctor, with a very positive, honest and caring manner. I am very grateful to him.

Dr P Boon Lim is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist specialising in heart rhythm disturbances, pacing and syncope at Imperial College London. He performs ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, and implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators.
Dr Lim has a special interest in mapping and ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF), and is currently actively researching best techniques for modulating the autonomic nervous system to treat atrial fibrillation and vasovagal syncope. He also works closely with industry to develop the best techniques for treatment of atrial fibrillation and ventricular ectopy, and is highly skilled at using modern 3-D mapping technologies to treat these common arrhythmias.
Dr Lim also leads the Imperial Syncope Diagnostic Centre, a unit that performs approximately 700 tilt table tests per year, and is actively engaged in researching mechanisms of syncope and understanding best treatment strategies for patients with debilitating syncope or symptoms of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). He runs a syncope clinic based in London at Hammersmith Hospital, providing expert care care and attention to patients who have difficult-to-treat blackouts or faints. Dr Lim participates actively in ongoing research trials focussing on developing the best management strategies for treatment of vasovagal syncope in is the principle investigator for several syncope trials. He is consistently rated highly by patients and colleagues as one of the top syncope doctors and cardiologists in London.
