Dr Ruzicka is a consultant cardiologist with 20 years’ experience in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine including angina, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, valve disease, screening and prevention. All his patients with symptoms including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, dizziness and blackouts receive first class service in the clinic at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. ECG is done during consultation in the clinic and further tests, if required, are usually available within one week privately or with usual waiting time on the NHS. Fast communication, email response to queries usually within 2 hours and always within 24 hours. Runs and supervises cardiology clinics, cardiac rehab, pacemaker and rapid access chest pain clinics in Trafford and Altrincham Hospitals and procedures in Manchester Heart Centre / Manchester Royal Infirmary. Procedures (done personally or referred for): ECG interpretation, ECG and blood pressure monitoring, exercise stress test (treadmill test), echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), TOE (transoesophageal echo), dobutamine and exercise stress echo, tilt table test, coronary angiogram/ angiography (heart catheterization), myocardial pefusion scan, cardiac MRI, CT calcium scoring, CT coronary angiogram, ILR (implantable loop recorder) implantation and removal, PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention, angioplasty 'stent'), catheter ablation for arrhythmias incl. PVI (pulmonary vein isolation for AF, atrial fibrillation), CABG (bypass surgery), surgical valve repair and replacement, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).

I highly recommend Dr Ruziecka. From initial contact to appointments, including investigations, Dr Ruziecka provided all services in a very timely manner. Dr Ruziedka took time to ensure I understood my condition and explain my treatment options, this was provided to me in a clear and concise way to ensure my understanding. I felt reassured as this was also provided to me in writing following appointments. Cardiology concerms can be a very worrying time. Dr Ruziecka is clearly a very knowledgeable and approachable cardiologist, I highly recommend Dr Ruziecka.

Dr Ruzicka listened to my concerns and didn’t make me feel like a hyperchondriac. He was happy to answer my questions and I didn’t feel rushed. I would recommend him to anyone who has worries about their heart health

Would definitely recommend Dr Ruzicka - he listened to me carefully, advised on tests required, followed up on my test results with a detailed explanation of the results.

After having a protracted period trying to diagnose my problem i made an appointment with Dr Ruzicka who listened to the full story, symptons and history of my health issue. Dr Ruzicka then put forward a plan to get to the bottom of the issue and within a week including a number of tests I had a detailed prognosis and recommended course of action. I would definitely recommend Dr Ruzicka for anyone seeking clarification regarding a cardiac issue.
