I had an appointment recently with Dr Whitney, the first time I had met him. It was an uncomfortable subject (as many health issues are!), but Dr Whitney made me feel very at ease. He asked me the right questions and took the time to explain what was going to happen, and I walked out feeling very reassured. His manner is very calming and gentle, and that is very reassuring. I feel very lucky with my GP practise, I've had nothing but excellent care from everyone I've dealt with since I moved to the Whickham area last year, but none more so than with Dr Whitney.

I have been seeing Dr Peter Whitney(Whickham Health Centre) for about 9 years now. For such a young man, he listens carefully to what your at the surgery for and diagnoses accordingly and gets you back to "well being" asap. His chairside/telephone manner is excellent and always leaves you on the way to recovery. I hate it if he's off. There's many a doctor could take a leaf out of his book. (Mrs Anne NESBITT)
