Peter was outstanding, very knowledgable about my knee condition and has given me an opportunity to protect my knee for longer than I thought. I would strongly recommend you use this consultant as he is very friendly and understanding.

I received little compassion for my injury and minimal attention at my appointment. Dr Thompson showed little sympathy towards me and would grunt and type away while I described my problem. I would show him the area in which I felt pain, but he didn't both to look and kept typing up his notes. I had to go private with my knee problems as the pain increased so much that I could barely walk. I was very disappointed with the treatment I had received considering I'd spent a huge amount of money on this. When you decide to pay for private treatment, you are not only expecting to receive a quick appointment, but also a high quality service. I don't believe this was at all provided. In addition to the poor treatment, I was also given the wrong appointment time to which I had to wait an additional 45 minutes in the waiting room. Very, very disappointed!!

I had a knee issue, twisted and painful. Dr Thomson examined the knee, explained what he thought the issue was and how we could deal with it. Then we went up the corridor to see a colleague, the knee surgeon, for a second diagnosis. The knee surgeon concurred with Dr Thomson. Later that day an MRI and back for the results the following day. Dr Thomson had been spot on with his diagnosis. Absolutely. From examining the outside carefully he could 'see' inside pretty much as well as the scan! That's experience and someone very good at what they do. No surgery needed, but I was linked up with an extremely competent physio who has already made a difference. Great care, top doctor, just what you want.

Dr. Thomson was very knowledgeable about running, running injuries, running styles and physical conditioning around running. Having established that I need to consider running in a different style of trainers, Peter googled a few different styles and models that I might want to consider there and then - exactly what I needed at the time. I am always sceptical of medical advice and like to do my own research around it. As a fellow runner, Dr. Thomson genuinely understood my needs and was able to answer my specific questions very well. I have only just seen him, so I can only say I trust him totally (5 strars) once I have followed his advice and seen the results. My experience so far has been excellent, however.

I’m very grateful that the physiotherapist I’ve been working with referred me to Dr Thomson. I’d been suffering for months with a couple of issues. Dr Thomson got straight to the matter of both, referred me for scans and treatment with excellent doctors, and I’m now well on the way back to health, confident that I’ll be moving completely freely again before long. He’s a lovely guy, understanding and reassuring. Would totally recommend him.
