I saw Dr Schmid in clinic for the first time after I had already completed chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He greeted us with a big smile and has an excellent bedside manner. He not only allowed me plenty of time to ask all kinds of questions, and answered them thoroughly, he also seemed to be fully informed about my previous treatment and situation, despite having never seen him before (unlike other oncologists I've seen who seem to be skimming my file while I talk, and I often find myself repeating and reiterating my entire history). He also gave me lots of added information about my prognosis, plans for the future and factors involved, we had a full discussion on fertility and risks, and he was generally warm, genuine, and caring throughout. My husband and I left the appointment with big smiles on our face, feeling like we were in good hands.
