I underwent an endoscopy and colonoscopy examination at Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham on 24/05/15 and was cared for by Dr Paul Wilson and nurses Karen Richardson and Amanda Hemming - all were extremely professional, totally caring and reassuring as well as friendly, humorous, empathetic and informal. In a short space of time, Dr Wilson had moved me from a very anxious state to being far more relaxed and trusting and he was very inclusive and informative about every stage of the procedure. In general there was commendable two-way dialogue betwixt patient and medical team throughout. The same high standards applied afterwards in the recovery area, where nurse Dawn Cash and all other staff were all equally as caring and professional. I was impressed by the high level of corporate ownership across the whole department from the time that you come through the door until you leave !
