Dr Paul Heart was very dismissive of my symptoms and he told me he will refer me for an MRI neck only after I begged because of my symptoms but he also said “I bet there will be nothing wrong”. When my MRI results came he phoned me and told me everything is fine and “Not to worry”. Luckily the GP had access to the MRI report and that’s how I knew that I had clear issues stated on the MRI report that correlate with my symptoms. I asked to see Dr Paul Heart face to face and again he was dismissive and only suggested medication after I insisted on helpful advice. Found him to be rude and uncaring, would never recommend.

Dr Hart seemed to want to process me through the system as quickly as he could without ever seeming to care about my health concerns. He would repeatedly cut me off and summarise the situation, which left me incredibly frustrated as how can you summarise when you haven’t heard the full story. There are symptoms he doesn’t know about because he just wouldn’t listen. He treated follow up appointments as a tick box exercise. In the end i sort of gave up because i knew he wasn’t listening to me and gave the impression that he didn’t care. My honest impression of this doctor is that he’s purely in it for the pay check. I feel like this was a complete waste of time and money and I’m going to have to return to the NHS to pursue help for my ongoing health issues. Very sad and disappointed that I was assigned this doctor.

I saw Dr Hart as my usual Neurologist was not available. Rather than just read my notes Dr Hart wanted to hear all about me starting from my first symptoms. He showed concern and listened greatly. He questioned elements of my care and was superbly professional.

For the first time EVER I came home from a (long awaited) consultation feeling really upset. Dr Hart appeared disinterested, even dismissive of a condition which I work so very hard to overcome. Do please consider taking a chaperone.
