I was referred to Dr. Carroll by my Obstetrician after I report "strange" symptoms some weeks after giving birth to my son in 2015. I had actually seen less knowledgeable Endocrinologists before this referral without any progress with a diagnosis and my health declined perilously as a result. From the first meeting he showed empathy and listened carefully to my description of the symptoms. He was friendly and patient and conducted physical and clinical investigations which led to a diagnosis of a rare condition, which unfortunately had become very serious because of the delay in seeing a competent specialist. He prescribed medications which have been effective in managing the condition and responded to my emails whenever I had questions. I wonder if I would still been alive if I had not seen Dr. Carroll right at that time.

I have been a patient of Dr Carroll’s for nearly 6 years now and I honestly don’t know where I would be without him. From day one, he has been fully supportive, understanding and has shown genuine care and concern whenever I have seen or spoken to him. He has gone above and beyond to reassure me, comfort me and make a plan forward for my care. I could sit here all day writing lovely words about Dr Carroll and he really is amazing at his job and generally just a kind lovely human being. I feel very grateful for him!

I only have good things to say about Dr Carroll. He is reassuring, kind and patient in his explanations of complex diagnoses.

I saw Mr Carroll 2 times - once in private and once in NHS. He left quite strange impression, I felt like he personally didn’t like me which is unacceptable for his position. The diagnosis that he made and all tests were correct and professional (in private), in NHS there was much less attention. The treatment option that he offered didn’t suit me and he didn’t bother to discuss that with me. Eventually he transferred me to another NHS consultant. “Amazing” approach, isn’t it? Also his private secretary is very rude. Good that I found another endocrinologist and will visit him in private as well as ask GP to refer me to another NHS clinic. Bye Mr Carroll.
