Yes, medical practitioners are trained to care. However, it's even more fulfilling and somewhat refreshing when you engage the services of a GP that does so quite naturally, at ease and seamlessly. Dr. Nina Velu is one of such, she allays your fears both with her medical expertise and humane disposition. Her staff are professionals in their conduct, prompt, attentive and considerate. Dr. Nina Velu of Scotstoun Medical Practice, Glasgow is an excellent doctor, and am the lucky one to be a patient of her medical practice.

How grateful I am that I can cite my experience with Dr. Velu and her staff at Scotstoun Medical Practice as among my blessings! From my very first visit at the practice , I was made to feel welcome and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the practice itself. Dr. Velu is a kind, compassionate doctor who genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her patients. She is never judgemental, patronising or belittling, and I never come away from an appointment feeling negative. She is the only doctor I have felt at ease with in all the time I have lived in Scotland.
Dr. Velu inspires all her patients by her smile, by her wealth of knowledge, skill, and professionalism.

I have been registered Dr Velu for years now. I beleive Dr Velu is a good qualified individual who shows concern and care, she listens to her patients and deals with concerns imediately. My whole family is registered with Dr Velu and we all have positive views.

After being in Dr Apiligas care for many years, I was apprehensive about the prospect of a new GP. I was right to do so....
At first caring and pleasant, I feel that Dr Velu very quickly runs out of patience and has absolutely no empathy with your struggles. You become a number quickly.
I feel she lacks knowledge on certain practices. Her area of expertise seems to be gynecology, as she told me many times...even if I had a chest infection.
This is only my opinion, of course.

Dr Velu, is very professional and thorough but also patient and genuinely caring. She does a brilliant service for the community.
