I have recently moved to Horsham and registered at the courtyard surgery. My first appointment was today with dr. Barrows. This wasn't a good start . I was late four minutes, as she told me as I have arrived and seems to deal with patients with military precision. I apologised for being late, I tried my best to be on time but it's a new town for me, I still don't recognise the streets, and I am suffering with fever and a chest infection. I would have waited if another patient went in front of me. I have quite a few health issues, including a chronic condition so I need referrals and some attention. She told me I should have booked a double appointment. Barely looked at me, typed away in her computer. When I queried about a particular therapy, just passed a leaflet. I have never experienced a doctor so insensitive, unprofessional and unpleasant as dr barrow. Who gives her the right to treat patients like this? She is a dr and she is providing a service and I deserve customer care. Doctors like her shouldn't get away with treating patients like this. Utterly shameful.
Dr Barrows took over the care of me some years ago and i find her to be a 1 in a million Doctor with the care she gives because she does not just fob you of with a prescription her persistence and dedication to get you well is outstanding she goes above the call of duty to do whats in her power to help you get though and always follows up until you are recovered and for a female Doctor she is very sensitive towards problems you may other wise be to scared to talk about and is very professional in making you feel comfortable what ever your problem might be its nice to know my local surgery has a Doctor that clearly cares about her patents and always finds the time to give you...
Dr Barrows is an excellent and very professional doctor and I have great confidence in her. She listens, asks appropriate questions and advises accordingly and will not hesitate to take immediate action if deemed necessary.
I have found Dr Barrows to be very kind and helpful; especially during the time of the loss of my son at a young age; the Doctor will keep plugging away until the root cause of the problem is found and the correct medicine is put forward. Doctor Barrows is a good asset to the surgery. The support staff at the surgery are also very helpful.
