Dr Nicole Chiang is simply the best cosmetic physician I have come across. She listens to you concerns and needs and discusses the options. She takes her time and care with the procedures ( fillers and sometimes Botox). Nothing feels rushed and she checks you are happy with the results. I have been happier with the results of her work more than any other physician. I have full confidence in Dr Chiang’s skills, knowledge and artistry and she’s also a very nice lady.

I came across Dr Nicole searching for a Dermatologist with a specialist interest in hair loss. I have suffered with telogen effluvium and struggled to understand what was happening until I had a consultation with Dr Nicole. I have seen her 5 times now at various locations including Alderley Edge, Warrington and the Manchester clinic. Every time she is welcoming, friendly and puts me at ease. She is extremely knowledgeable and I appreciate the expert knowledge she has which you can tell through her explanations that the care or treatment she recommends is evidence based. She also gives accompanying advice on the small things that can also make a difference which makes you feel you can start to take control of this terrible condition. I underwent plasma rich protein injections to my scalp. I was advised this could take 6 treatments. 48 hours after the first treatment I felt new spikes of hair growing from my scalp. The same happened after the second treatment. The before and after pictures are amazing after just 2 treatments. The actual procedure itself is manageable. Slightly uncomfortable and can hear sight scratching each time the needle goes in but in general it isn't painful. Some areas of the scalp are more sensitive than others but any slight increase in discomfort is soon gone as each injection is only a second. I think I have about 25 injections each time and it takes about 20 minutes only. Dr Nicole also asks if there are any areas of the scalp that want particular attention. The area on the top of the scalp tends to be less uncomfortable than the back of the head. The sample of blood that is taken from the arm is just a normal blood test feeling, well less actually because Dr Nicole seems to have a very gentle technique. The sample is spun in the machine that is in the same room that the treatment takes place which is not only interesting to watch but also reasurring to know that it is definately my own plasma being injected back in. During the procedure the scalp feels a bit like bubble wrap as pressure points can give the sensation of raised areas. For about 30 minutes after the procedure there is a slight pressure feeling but nothing that needs painkillers. The few days after the procedure the scalp feels slightly bruised to the touch in areas, particularly lying on a pillow but nothing that would stop hair brushing or sleeping. After the procedure the hair is messy and sticky with the numbing cream so for that reason only I return straight home afterwards, otherwise I would just continue my day. Dr Nicole has done every procedure herself which is great for continuity of care and she is genuinely delighted when she sees the treatment making a difference. I couldn't wait to walk into my consultation wearing my hair down for the first time in a long while to show her! I wouldn't go to any other Dermatologist.

Dr.Nicole is a wonderful doctor, she is kind and caring and really listens. After seeing many GP’s I had the courage to see a dermatologist about my problems and finally I didn’t have to use steroids! She completely understood my concerns and it was nice to find someone who was on the same page as me. She taught me how to be patient with treatment and results and I feel so much more calm. The most reassuring fact is that I know if any skin issues crop up, a pair of healing hands is not far away. This gives me much confidence and I’m so glad I took the first steps to visit Dr. Nicole. Many Thanks!
