In sept 2021 I was diagnosed with bengin meningioma at the left side of my temporal area. So I was placed under the care of this AMAZING lady Nicola Johnston. From the first day I spoke to.her she made me feel.at ease . Bearing in mind when I was first told.of this I had myself dead and buried. So nicola said we will.scan you in a 6months time. March 22 I got scan and the results were good nothing had changed so.she then.said changing scan to yearly. I thought yes so Jan 23 I was scanned a d then.in Feb 23 nicola called for.myself and husband to.inform.us that my tumour had got bigger and they wanted to.take it out. So on 28th June 23 I had my operation and OMG what a lady and her team are A1. She is an earth angle. I was discharged within 2 days of surgrey and last Thursday I saw her for my 2 week post op.review she is that brillant she couldn't even find my scar it healed that well and I had 22 clips in. I was diagnosed with a meningioma in jan-22. I was so fortunate to have been introduced to miss nicola Johnston as my neurosurgeon. Over this past year she has seen me through the removal of the (thankfully benign) tumour, followed by treatment for infection and finally the insertion of a plate. Throughout all of this she has been kind and clear in everything she does. She has been open to all questions and is unfaltering in her explanation of what is happening. She actually brought me grapes and bananas at 7am one morning because I couldn’t tolerate any other food (due to iv antibiotics). Her Down-to-earth nature makes her a pleasure to interact with and she instills such confidence in her ability. I really couldn’t recommend her any higher. She truly is an angel and my saviour

I was diagnosed with a glioblastoma 3.5 years ago. When I heard this my whole life fell apart for me and my family. Dr Nicola Johnston performed her amazing surgery 2 weeks after the diagnosis and saved my life. Not only is she such a smart lady performing this kind of surgery she is also a lovely warm person who made me feel at ease given the severity of it all. I feel that few words of praise isnt enough or never will be to describe dr niocla johnston, what a remarkable lady , my Francis had to go see nioclA and she told us he had a grade four glioblastoma brain tumor with no cure , she was so caring and understanding and aware of this news was affecting us , she operated fir 6 hours and removed the rumor , his scar u would hardly see and he had 24 stiches, miracles happen all the time and what she did for us definitely was one , my god bless your hands forever amazing lady
