I'm an ex patient of Dr Nick Stallard, we met 6 years ago. I was critically ill with type two respiratory failure, Under the care of Princess Of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, they wouldn't listen to reason and wanted to turn my vent off. My husband was told about Dr Stallard, he contacted him, they got talking and Nick offered to help. He arranged to have me transferred to The University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, he also gave me a tracheostomy which saved my life.
In DR Stallards care, I was treated with such care, such dignity, such compassion, I wasn't like a patient, I was treated like part of his family. I was so well looked after by him and his team
Without him I wouldn't be here right now.
I'll be forever in his debt
