Seeing Dr Gall has been life changing. My condition isn't life threatening (PoTS/Dysautonomia, MCAS and hEDS) but it is extremely debilitating and not all cardiologists take it seriously. Whilst my case doesn't have a simple cure, having a doctor who seems to genuinely care about patients, taking a holistic approach to health makes living with it a little easier. He has always treated me with dignity, understanding and empathy. He has validated my experiences, reassuring me that my symptoms are real and that the many wider symptoms which other doctors had written off as anxiety (or simply not believed), are real and part of a bigger picture. He takes time with his patients, listens to concerns and answers questions thoroughly. He is always up to date with current research, treatments and management strategies which is very reassuring. His clear passion in wanting to understand the mystery of POTS/dysautonomia and his willingness to work collaboratively with his patients is, in my opinion, his greatest strength and sets him apart from the many other consultants I have seen throughout the last 20+ years. He is always realistic about expected outcomes from treatments, and when suggesting a treatment plan trusts me as the patient to be actively involved and find the safest and most successful dosage and combination of medications (with clear guidance whenever needed). He has a network of other Doctors with similar values and attitudes towards "POTS-y people", and will make direct referrals to these if needed, and only if needed, as he doesn't believe in causing distress with unpleasant tests when the clinical evidence is clear. I feel extremely lucky to be under Dr Gall's care. I only wish I had been able to see him 10 years earlier! I hope that he gets the support and funding necessary to be able to share his research and knowledge to train other specialists for the future. Thank you for believing in us Dr Gall.

Having the fortune to be seen by Dr Gall was utterly life-changing. I spent approximately 10 years under St Thomas cardiology where I never received a diagnosis, was given medication that made me much worse, and it honestly felt pointless going in every 6 months - to the point where unless I was going to have a heart attack it didn't feel like any of my symptoms or struggling quality of life mattered, or were even believed at times. I was fortunate enough to receive private health care through my previous work and had, through my own research, suspected POTs. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Gall, and for the first time it felt like somebody didn't want to just dismiss my symptoms and try to tell me it was anxiety or related. Dr. Gall was extremely thorough with testing (but only where necessary), was so clear and thorough on explaining possible diagnosis and once POTs was confirmed was extremely clear, thorough and helpful on what could be done to manage this. He was also extremely helpful in guiding me on which other specialists I should see given the variety of symptoms that can be caused, which led to a diagnosis of hEDS and MCAS. He was excellent at communicating and getting the information needed from my other doctors to ensure my care was viewed as a whole and nothing was missed. Although living with POTs and these other chronic illnesses can be extremely challenging and debilitating at times, I cannot state enough just how important a diagnosis was for me. I am forever grateful to the time and care Dr Gall took to talk through the illness with me and listen to my medical history and experiences. Even just the validation of having a medical professional who knows how many individuals suffer really debilitating quality of life at times from this illness, and someone who knows and has seen how many patients have been dismissed and left to suffer alone. It was so important to speak to a medical professional who clearly had knowledge of the condition, the symptoms, the possible links, the effects of this and what can be done to help - this made me feel far more empowered to take ownership of my health whereas in the past I'd been made to feel like I needed to convince myself my heart wasn't 180 bpm and every other symptom would just disappear if I thought positively enough! Sadly I no longer have the medical insurance and am waiting to be referred to see Dr Gall through the NHS to continue to manage my condition. However, there is a 2 year waiting list. This speaks volumes to both how important his work is, and also how sad the state of NHS/private healthcare is in widening the inequality between those who can and cannot afford treatment. In the end, I am so grateful that I even got to see Dr Gall, where so many must be struggling undiagnosed, at least now I have the knowledge to be able to find information and medication to keep things much better under control - it is truly life-changing. Thank you Dr Gall for the work that you do, I really hope more people have the opportunity to be seen and helped by you.

Very nice doctor who is a world expert in POTS. It is hard to get an appointment with him but I'm happy I did. He works very late into the night and I don't understand how he can manage such long hours. There seems to be a lack of POTS doctors. If you think you have POTS I would strongly suggest you see him, Dr Gurvinder Rull, or another doctor listed on the POTS UK website. Seeing a general cardiologist might be disappointing. https://www.potsuk.org/specialists

This was the first doctor my son has been under who believed him and my son had lived with PoTS for 5 years at this stage. Dr Gall made referrals onwards for other symptoms, none else had taken any notices of his other symptoms other than migraines before. He added Ivabradine to him medication which after 5 years stopped the palpitations which had effected my son's quality of sleep. Even my husband came out of the first appointment amazed at Dr Gall and we have seen numerous health specialists as a family over the years. His arrhythmia nurses are at the end of the phone to give support. Dr Gall has not only helped my son but has made a huge impact on the qualify of our family life, thank you.
