Dr Neil Beaumont

Very bad experience with this psychiatrist. He spoke over me repeatedly during my consultation, he was more interested in asking about my legal proceedings than my feelings/difficulties and he wrote a letter to my GP in which he claimed I had made certain statements and agreed with his assessment when I hadn’t! When I complained about this and also asked him to justify his clinical opinion against diagnostic criteria (because myself and my GP disagreed with it) he refused. Overall, he was completely ignorant, unhelpful and dishonest, which only served to cause me further distress. On this basis, I would not recommend seeing him.
