Wow Dr Maroof is exceptional intensive care anaesthetist. I have a long standing rare disease therefore surgery was always going to be difficult. Dr Maroof engaged with me immediately. We discussed every aspect of my condition and what would be the safest plan for me. The decision was a spinal anaesthetic. I have to say it is the best anaesthetic I've ever had. Professor Razeen Mohamed Mahroof was my anaesthetist when I was operated on By Mr Carrothers at the spire cambridge leas for Total knee replacement. I was apprehensive about spinal block before TKR ,due to my degenerative back condition.Dr Mahroof took time to explain and reassure me and gave expert care throughout .
