Dr.Mohammed Mahgoub did everything he could for my husband. He had warned us both that it may not work,but my husband was determined to try everything. Sadly,the treatment didn’t work,but my family and I will always be grateful to Dr.Mohammed for all the care and attention he gave.It gave us hope and my husband had a few more months with us. I am so glad and grateful to be being treated for Stage 4 advanced lung cancer, with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, by Dr Mohamed Mahgoub, and do not hesitate to recommend this wonderful gentleman. He is honest, kind, caring and approachable and, in my opinion, any oncology patient would be fortunate to be seen and treated by him. Dr Mahgoub has an excellent patient manner - he totally listens to you - and the sincerity and extent of his efforts in my case have made all the remarkable difference to my outcome so far. He strives always to provide the best treatment and care to the individual patient. He takes time to explain the treatments, and no question is considered 'daft'. He talks TO you, not AT you - and never ever talks over you. This skill alone of listening and spending time explaining is a superlative quality in a physician. You never feel rushed when you see him, and I know that any question I ask will be answered honestly and knowledgeably. He goes above and beyond for his patients. I have genuine and unwavering confidence in Dr Mohamed Mahgoub, and I am happy to say that my progress so far under his care is extraordinary. It is much, much more than I envisaged. I cannot thank Dr Mahgoub and his excellent, kind and caring team in oncology at PCH enough, and I consider myself so very, very lucky he is at Peterborough City Hospital. The treatment I have received there, and continue to receive, is outstanding.

I thing Dr Mahgoub is the best doctor in the world. When my chemo did not work, he was the one who realized what was wrong, and found a treatment that took me out of my wheelchair, away from constant blood transfusions and pain, back to a normal life. He is willing to take the time to find the right treatment rather than just making a snap judgement. And he seemed really happy and excited when his ideas worked for me.
