I'VE been seeing Dr scales for the past three years and find him very helpful and understanding,he listens and helps you to understand what may be up with you.he comes across as very caring person and professional.Top doctor.
Dr Scales is clearly a very able man. Why would he otherwise be teaching trainee doctors? I have always found him to be polite, courteous and totally professional. Granted, it's no use going to see him with a cold, as he doesn't give out antibiotics like Smarties, which some ignorant people might wish, but he carefully assesses a patent's needs and offers sound advice and care. There are some pretty thick people in Batley, one only needs to attend the surgery to see that, but for those who actually need a doctor, rather than those who don't, Dr Scales is a first-rate doctor.
Cannot believe how rude this man is, and he is very patronising and rude to the extent he may as well be wearing a mask to cover up his smugness. On telling this person (I can't call him a doctor) what exactly I was suffering from, he started to look at the computer to an illness I had almost ten years before and conquered to ask if I am still having troubles. Almost to the last person, I have never heard anyone saying that they would go willingly to this man. I know exactly why now, and can assure anyone that you will need two appointments .... one with Scales and one with another GP the next day to get your illness properly seen to.
I went to this Doctor through an emergency appointment, and told him exactly what two specialists had instructed me to do. He completely ignored the specialists advice, and decided to give me tablets for an illness I didn't have; and I had told him this and been tested as negative for. On asking him what the medication was he was prescribing me, he said this thee times, 'Give this a go and come back and see me in two weeks time'. Another time was when my young child was suffering from a very bad flu, and was vomiting when coughing. He put a temperature probe in her left ear, and concluded that he wasn't going to give her anything as the worst was over; and he didn't like giving antibiotics. Two days later we took our child to the A&E as there was no improvement, immediately on being seen by a Doctor she was admitted to hospital. This Doctor just doesn't listen to what you tell him, and my family or myself would refuse an emergency appointment if it was with him due to previous times he has made ridiculous mistakes.
