I always feel that my problem has tried to be resolved and acted on.

Dr Pick has helped me no end, in the last year or so and I can't praise him or any other member of staff enough. I attend the Warfarin clinic and the staff are great, I am also receiving physio at the moment, again the staff are fantastic. Dr Pick has really made a difference for me of late and I would recommend him without a second thought. The practice as far as I am concerned is THE best I have ever attended and others would do well to try and bring theirs up to the same standard. Paul Vickery

Communication is at the heart of diagnosis and treatment. It helps if you are infomed about your own condition. For some people this level of understanding AND self understanding is not possible. I would suggest that a kind of "triage" should be tried where the nurse can spend more time with such patients thus allowing the specialist skills that a doctor has to be more efficiently used in the NHS.

He talks to me about my symptoms and involves me in my treatment. He's down to earth and comes straight to the point and always treats me with respect He tries to help me improve my lifestyle, but isn't domineering and is patient with my failures and tries to find another way to help. I am always made to feel that nothing is too much trouble and I have complete confidence in the treatment he gives and advises. I don't think he could improve the way he treats me, either personally or medically without having a magic wand.

Dr Pick was sympathetic and had referred me back to the pain clinic although I am still waiting to hear about an appointment from them. He understands and I still want to continue working and has offered alternative medication to help relieve some of my back pain.
