Mr Pellen is absolutely the doctor / surgeon that I could have wanted; I know it is a matter of 'luck' as to whom a patient sees in the NHS, but I was genuinely delighted. My consultation was very informative, efficient and friendly and I left that knowing that something was going to be done for my hernia. Come the day of surgery, I was delighted to learn that Mr Pellen was going to be my surgeon. The pre-op chat again left me knowing that I was in the best of hands. The operation went very well and I have to say I'm impressed with the lack of subsequent associated pain and the very neat job that he made with the incisions.....I reckon there'll be nothing to see in a few weeks' time, which will be another unexpected bonus. I am extremely grateful.

Mr Pellen performed a Sleeve Gastrectomy operation for myself in April 2021. From start to finish the process was amazing, I was made to feel important from my very first consultation and was put at ease straight away. When I arrived in the hospital once I was settled in Mr Pellen came to see me to talk through the process and again immediately put me at ease as at this stage I was a little scared as I was on my own due to the covid pandemic. I went down to surgery in the morning and the rest is history. When I woke up I was a little groggy but no discomfort at all. Mr Pellen did then also come to see me to check I was ok and talked me through what had happened, all went extremely well. I could not recommend Mr Pellen and the Spire Team more. To say he has changed my life would be an understatement.

Mr Pellen removed my gall bladder. I was very apprehensive as two people I know had a bad experiences. One took 8 months to recover after getting an infection. I can honestly say I didn't need my Codine tablets to take for pain after I left the hospital. The scaring was minimal and so was the bruising. I recovered quickly and am now back to work after 2 weeks.

I am on day 3 after my operation on my lap band reconstruction which was done by Mr Pellen a first class surgeon who made me feel at ease from our first meeting. He spent time to explain everything he had done to my band. I have got every faith in Mr Pellen and this lap band working so if any one out there is thinking of getting weight loss surgery, Mr Pellen is the man to go see. He is such a talented gentleman and i cannot thank him enough for giving me a second chance with my band. Regards Chris Warrington
