A truest caring doctor and one in a million

Last year I found myself feeling inexplicably poorly for no apparent reason. I was first seen by the advance nurse practitioner who listened carefully and arranged for a large set of blood tests to be taken. I was feeling very anxious about this as I am not great with needles, so she arranged for me to have Emla cream to help with the blood tests. The results of these blood tests came through on a Friday and my doctor, Dr Jenkins acted immediately. He made contact with me (far later on a Friday night) than I would consider his working hours to be. In addition to this, I had not updated my phone number at the surgery but he still found a way to get in touch with me. He then researched all the possibilities of what I could be experiencing . Very soon after, Dr Jenkins had more information on the possible causes for my illness, and again went out of his way to contact me and update me on his findings. Very quickly he made a correct diagnosis and has successfully treated me since. From first making contact with the surgery, to 12 months later I have been overwhelmingly impressed with the care and dedication that Dr Jenkins has shown me. He consistently went over and above what I would consider someone just 'doing their job'.
