This doctor was referred due to long standing insomnia difficulties. He asked me three overt sexually explicit questions relating to my childhood abuse. Triggering your patient and then having them Formed is a terrible idea. He challenged me on my knowledge of the statute of limitations in Canada re: child sexual assault. Another bad idea as he doesn't understand Canadian law.

Dr Armanyous is an absolutely excellent psychiatrist. I've been under his care for a year and a half now, and he has never once let me down. He would literally move mountains for me and he always listens to my views. He's the best psychiatrist I've been under. He thinks outside of the box and recognises that psychiatry isn't an exact science (an issue I've had with other psychiatrists, unfortunately), whilst simultaneously backing up his suggestions with evidence. He knows absolutely everything there is to know about the condition I have and we are able to have very interesting discussions about it. He is an absolute gentleman and is very polite and pleasant to be around. I would feel comfortable telling him absolutely anything as he would never judge anyone. He isn't patronising like some other psychiatrists I've been under, and always talks to me at a level I can understand. I haven't heard of a patient (who isn't acutely unwell - most unwell patients are hostile to doctors in general, unfortunately) who isn't fond of him. He always returns my calls as soon as possible (sometimes within hours - which is really good considering his busy schedule) and sees me every six weeks. I've also been given emergency appointments at short notice (for him) multiple times. I'm very surprised that no-one else wrote a review, in all honesty. However, take my word for it - he is truly an excellent psychiatrist!
