I attended the appointment with my partner for moral support and as a second pair of ears. I was welcomed into the consulting room alongside him. As a first appointment with Dr Irvine-Sellers, she was friendly, compassionate and took the time to be thorough in finding out about my partners medical history, listening carefully and being very patient when we could not, through forgetfulness, answer her questions promptly On examination she was quick to refer him immediately for an ECG without being alarmist. On the return to her room, with the results from the ECG, she made a prompt diagnosis and explained everything clearly to us, allowing me/us to ask what may have been silly questions, without making us feel like we were wasting time. She also acted on referrals to other departments for further tests which made us feel like everything is being taken under control, giving my partner and myself reassurance and confidence in his journey forward. A very professional and competent doctor. The staff supporting Dr Irvin-Sellers in the department were also very personable and helpful
