Dr Mary Quigley

at Queen's Hospital

I was attended by Dr Quigley back in 2005. She was so lovely, very understanding helpful, very reassuring and honest. I give this review now as I have recently had breast cancer again on my other breast. It made me think of Dr Quigley and how she might be getting on. I’ll always remember her with huge respect for the kindness she always showed to me and all the patients with me at that time. I can not recommend Dr Quigley enough. She is caring, attentive, professional and if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be here today. No request was too much for her, she accommodated my requests for additional scans to ease my anxiety during chemotherapy. She is highly knowledgeable and I received care which wouldn’t have been out of place in a private setting. Thank you Dr Quigley.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Jan 2022 and was under the care of PAH Harlow for the removal of the tumour. The subsequent PAH follow up was with a GP (not an oncologist). To cut a long story short, I asked to have my radiotherapy at Queen's, as they will do RT with 1 week rather than 3. I was then referred to Mary Quigley who is absolutely amazing and lovely. She listened (unlike PAH) and agreed with me that to be having regular periods at 59 is not normal and could be the reason for my ER+ve tumour. She arranged for a blood test immediately after seeing her and it confirmed that my oeastrodiol was abnormally high. She has referred me to the gynae team for further investigation. None of this would have happened if I had remained under the care of PAH. I cannot recommend her highly enough and I am so glad I had my file transferred.

Dr Quigley treated me in 2009 for stage 3b cervical cancer. From the get go she was positive and treated me with kindness and compassion. She explained everything in detail to me and made me feel I was in safe hands. I just wanted to praise and say thank you Dr Quigley! X
