I find The Kingthorne Group Practice to be efficient and sympathetic to patient's concerns. All the nursing assistants etc.I have seen, have appeared calm and capable. Also, I order a monthly prescription, and thus I appreciate the convenience of the online prescription ordering service, ( I lead a busy life ) , but I appreciate that older, less computer literate patients, may find the service less appealing. Because I believe Kingthorne is a caring surgery, I am sure that there are other avenues available for such patients. My daughter, who is a Type 1 Diabetic regularly uses the surgery, has seen numerous doctors, and has found them all helpful. I find that surgery hours are generally sufficient, but that the Saturday hours are rather restrictive. For example, the other Saturday there was a mix-up with my prescription at the chemist, I needed to contact the surgery about it, and it had just closed (11.30 am.) Seeing an emergency doctor would not have been appropriate for my dilemma, so I had to wait until Monday to sort it out. Apart from that niggle, Well Done! is my verdict on Kingthorne Group Practice.

I am 63 years old and have been with this practice all my life. Throughout this whole period I cannot recall having any complaint or gripe whatsoever. Dr Coleman typifies all that is best - welcoming, pleasant, takes time to listen to the patient's story, explains what treatment (course of treatment) he is putting you on and why, discusses implications and any back up. 10 out of 10.

Dr. Martyn Coleman is really experienced and can pin point any issue perfectly. I suffered from pain in my knees for a long time. X rays revealed nothing at all. He was the one who pointed out that I had problems with the cartilage in the knees due to overuse. The issue righted itself with a couple of vitamin supplements.
